Established in 1910, the Othello Ironworks was originally a welding shop. It was the first welding shop in Othello. Originally owned by the Larson's , it was then sold to the Allred brothers. They ran the welding shop up until their late 90's . After they passed, the sons sold Ironworks to a former welder and blacksmith turned farmer, George Rattray. The building sat empty for 15 years until his daughter, Erika, turned it into the Ironworks Cafe & Market you know and love . Most of the chairs, tables, and fixtures were built from the scrap left in and around the building. George and Erika designed and built the chairs, tables, and light fixtures. We hope you enjoy the building and atmosphere as much as we do.
We specialize in coffee and lunch -- we serve soups, salads, paninis, and sandwiches. We also have an espresso machine. In the spring we sell hanging baskets, vegestable starts, and bedding flowers. In the summer months, we sell produce and flowers grown in the Columbia Basin. We also serve and sell beer, wine and kegs. In the fall and winter we offer classes after hours.
We have worked to package our meals in a way that lets you bring the quality of our meals into your home. We would always love to see you in person, but even when we can't, we ensure that your dining experience is top notch!
We refuse to compromise on quality in our restaurant. That's why we source our fresh ingredients from local farmers during season. We also grow some of our own produce!
In the spring, we offer a variety of garden starts that we grow from seed, ensuring each plant is nurtured from the very beginning. Our selection includes vegetables and fruits, perfect for home gardens. Alongside these starts, we also sell beautifully arranged hanging flower baskets, adding vibrant color and life to any space. Our commitment to quality means that all our plants are grown using sustainable practices, including the use of nutrient-rich vermicompost. By providing these garden starts and flower baskets, we aim to share our passion for gardening and sustainability with our community.
